Olive Park Sightseeing: 30~50 minutes
A roadside station with about 2,000 olive trees on a small hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. The park includes the “Olive Memorial Hall,” where you can learn about the history of olives, and the “Greek Windmill,” which gives the atmosphere of the Mediterranean. It’s a complex facility where you can enjoy olives with all five senses.

Kanka Valley Ropeway Sightseeing: 10 minutes
Shodoshima’s highest peak, praised as one of Japan’s three greatest scenic gorges. The natural beauty of new greenery, autumn foliage, and the colorful rocks of the gorge. There are two observation decks near the summit station of the ropeway, offering stunning views of the gorge.

Summit Station Sightseeing: 20~40 minutes
This is a spectacular spot with a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea and the beauty of the valley. We recommend hiking and taking a break at the café while enjoying the seasonal scenery.

Shihō-sashi Great Viewing Peak Sightseeing: 20 minutes
This is a spectacular spot at an elevation of 776 meters. It is truly an observatory in the sky with a 360-degree view of the Seto Inland Sea and the mountains of Shodoshima.

Soy Sauce Village Brewery Tour Sightseeing: 30 minutes
Along the prefectural road from Yasuda district in Shodoshima Town to Sakate Port, there is a concentration of soy sauce and tsukudani (preserved seafood) factories. Some of the soy sauce factories and warehouses, built in the Meiji period, are still in use today.

Nakayama Senmaida (Rural Kabuki Stage) Sightseeing: 20〜30 minutes
In the center of Shodoshima, in the Nakayama district, there are about 800 rice terraces, which have been selected as one of “Japan’s Top 100 Rice Terraces.” The large and small rice paddies reflect the sky, and in early autumn, the golden rice stalks bend low with ripened grain.
